Group honors Oklahomans with disabilities, advocates

The Oklahoma City Mayor’s Committee on Disability Concerns honored outstanding Oklahomans with disabilities and their advocates Tuesday at its annual awards luncheon at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.

The luncheon theme was “Street Smarts for People with Disabilities 2012” as part of the committee’s work to increase safety for people with disabilities on Oklahoma City streets.

Mayor Mick Cornett and Pam Henry, committee chairwoman, presented the awards, Kevin Ogle, KFOR-4 news anchor, was emcee at the 22nd annual awards luncheon.
